Recruiters review resumes for an average of 6 seconds. So, you have 6 seconds to convince the hiring “gatekeeper” that your skills and background qualify you for your dream job. That’s a lot of pressure! In this course you will gain valuable insight from a corporate recruiter and hiring manager from a Fortune 500 company. What do they look for and why? Remember – it all comes down to the resume!

Speakers
Wanda Watson, Transportation and Industrial Business Lead for the DuPont Field Engineering and Supply Chain Development Program, received her BS in Chemical Engineering from Hampton University and her MBA from Marshall University. Wanda serves as the Transportation and Industrial Business Lead for the DuPont Field Engineering and Supply Chain Development Program as well as a Quality Manager for the Vespel® Parts and Shapes business. As the business lead for the Field Engineering Program, she is responsible for the recruitment and retention of engineers in DuPont’s rotational program.

Amber Gilkeson, Recruiting & Selection Consultant, received a BBA in Finance from the University of Kentucky (GO CATS!) and then obtained an MS in Human Resources Management from Marshall University. Amber’s path to corporate recruiting started back in a part-time role in the recruiting office at her Grad School. From there she realized that helping people find their dream job/career was a passion. Amber has been in recruiting professionally for over 12 years. For almost 10 of those years she has been recruiting some of the most talented and innovative engineers in the world at DuPont. With her focus on Talent and Diversity at the forefront, Amber has recruited hundreds of Engineers at all levels and disciplines.
