Empowering Women at Work: Why and How to Sponsor Others




Course Description 
Even though there are more women in leadership and executive roles within organizations, they are often given less consideration, respect, opportunities for career advancement, mentoring, etc., as their male counterparts. Join this course to learn about to be an effective ally and ambassador for other women. Gloria Cotton will share and examine best practices for women in senior level positions who have learned to not only navigate and mitigate but eliminate professional barriers erected to exclude and limit them. 

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
  • Define the importance and impact of sponsoring other women in the workplace.
  • Identify barriers and remedies to increase support and visibility for women in the workplace, including the impacts of layering other dimensions of diversity (e.g., race, color, gender identity, communication style, etc.).
  • Recognize best practices for sponsoring others in the workplace.
