Course Description
No one really teaches us about money and finances - not our schools and not our families, plus we're not supposed to talk about it with our friends. Studies show that women have lower confidence than men around money management, even when their knowledge and performance is better. How can graduates and early career professionals navigate the complex financial world unequipped with the knowledge to make good decisions?  In this presentation you will learn basic financial principles, key questions for consideration, and guidance on key early-career decisions including saving, investing, and navigating employee benefits. This knowledge can bust some myths and increase confidence in a short period of time.

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
  • Develop a plan for saving, investing, and taking advantage of employee benefits.
  • Recognize how to avoid the most common money pitfalls taught by the field of behavioral finance.
  • Confidently approach financial decisions in a way that is true to your personal values and priorities.

Stephanie W. McCullough, Founder and Financial Planner, Podcaster and Speaker (She/Her) Stephanie McCullough is founder of Sofia Financial and co-host of the award-winning Take Back Retirement podcast.
